From ceremony to reception, the beautiful Town Hall is the perfect place to host your special day.
Licensed to hold Civil Wedding Ceremonies, with elegant character rooms in varying sizes, the Town Hall is ideal for weddings big and small.
After the ceremony, you can simply move into another room and let the celebrations continue with a wedding reception to remember.
With everything you need under one roof, from professional catering facilities, sound systems, stages and PA, we’re here to make it a magical day, and to keep everything stress free.
“Thank you so much for making our ceremony such a roaring success.
We hugely appreciate all of your help and look forward to organising our next celebration with you at the Town Hall.
All the best.”
Rachel & James
Whichever type of ceremony you’re planning, Marriage, Civil Partnership, Renewal of Vows or a Naming Ceremony, we’d be delighted to host your special event.
We’re licensed to hold civil, non-religious ceremonies. This means you’re very welcome to include music, readings, words or performances as part of your ceremony, so long as they are of a secular, non-religious nature. The content of the ceremony will need to be agreed in advance with the Superintendent Registrar.
Please note, while we’re here to do everything we can to help, some elements can only be done by you – such as ensuring the legal wedding preliminaries are complete, or that the Registration Officers are available to conduct your ceremony (see ‘The legal bit’ below). Please don’t forget these essential elements.
“Many thanks for making our big day so special, without your hard work and endless advice at the end of the phone it would not have been so smooth or relaxing (on our side anyway!) Huge thanks to your team for all their help and effortless hard work which made everything run smoothly on the day.”

To hold your wedding or civil ceremony in the Town Hall, you’ll need two Registration Officers, who can usually be booked up to 12 months prior to your wedding.
You can book your Registration Officers by visiting Newbury Register Office, Shaw House, Church Road, Newbury, Berkshire, RG14 2DR, or calling 01635 279230.
DON’T FORGET The Registration Officers are the most important people to attend, after yourselves of course, as your wedding can’t take place without them.

“We cannot recommend Hungerford Town Hall any more highly for a wedding venue. The team were so helpful and accommodating and always went beyond the call of duty to ensure that we had the ceremony we wanted. The service was so personal and the ceremony had all the magic, humour and character that we wanted to find…for all 200 guests. We were so relaxed on the day knowing that they had everything in hand. First class service from Hungerford Town Hall.”
